  1. Individual’s liberty and harm prevention
Especially after the out break of covid 19 we have seen a lot of things like shut down of schools, colleges and many public places. Apart from all this people were restricted from going any where, all this was done for preventing the harm but it has also restricted the individual’s liberty.
2. Health promotion
The number of cancer cases in the world runs in million every year, and most common being the cervical cancer and the second most common is breast cancer. In the year 2022, India alone has reported around 15 lakh cancer cases. The most common cause of cancer is the lifestyle of todays world, and the eating habits along woth tobacco and alcohol.

3. Prevention of the disease and its treatment
It is a very important saying that “prevention is better than cure”, thus preventing any disease is much easier and cheaper than its treatment.
Prevention can be done at various levels, for example:
  • Prevention of diabetes by controlling the diet in patients who have impaired glucose tolerence.
  • Prevention of the spread of HIV by using safer contraceptive methods and using disposable IV needles.
  • Prevention of the spread of communicable diseases like covid-19 or tuberculosis by adopting isolation as a measure.
4. Ethical issues in global health
Considering health as a global issue is very important, because considering health as the right of global mankind is the responsibility of all the countries. Some countries which are under developed such as the countries of south africa, they cannot get the proper access to the health services due to the poverty, malnutrition, lack of education and corruption. Thus, providing easy access to health servises to these places is very important and certainly the duty of all the major health organisations.
5. Surveillance of the public health
Providing health services is one thing and surveillance of the health services provided is another important aspect. Sometimes the government execute a programme but the benefit is not reached to the needed population, thus there should exist a surveillance committee which look after the distribution of the health services.
