Although nursing education is driven by the need to provide qualitative care to clients and provides content to ensure this, it should be supported by continuing professional education aimed at ensuring the maintenance and improvement of the competencies already acquired. Continuing professional development (CPD) and continuing professional education (CPE) have become popular terms among professional groups as tools for updating knowledge and skills (Xiao, 2006). Ensuring that professionals attain and maintain their competencies is at the core of continuing professional development (CPD). In nursing continuing professional education (CPE) is very important because it provides professionals with new theories and evidence of what does and does not work in their practice. It also ensures continuous improvement of their performance to deliver the best patient care with the ultimate aim of improving patient outcomes.  The power strategy a nursing student should develop during practicum period is self confidence Clinical nursing education demands that students move quickly from theoretical learning to real life situations dealing with illness in patients for some students this transition can be both frightening and filled with self doubt , lack of self confidence in student nurses can interfere with their ability to acquire new knowledge and hinder their ability to tackle difficult situations . clinical instructors should act wisely to promote an attitude of confidence to reverse a students negative mindset . instilling confidence in student nurses early provide a foundation for acquisition of knowledge and successful implementation of newly acquired skills .  Additional personal power strategies • The main strategy should include is accept responsibility for your own mistakes , and then learn from them , it has following advantages 1.Be accountable, it demonstrates you’re responsible.
