in left-sided stroke there is left- sided weakness or paralysis and sensory impairment. there should also be presence of speech problems and also problems with understanding of language i.e aphasia and also visual problems.
laboratory results for left sided stroke are as follows :
- computer tomography(CT)
- x rays.
a brain ct scan shows if there is bleeding in the brain or if there is any damage to the brain cells from a stroke.x rays shows detailed pictures of brain.
blood pressure in stroke patients higher than normal i.e, 160/90 mmhg. the blood pressure rises because of many factors such as psychological stress, pain, elevated intracranial pressure, hypoxemia etc.
temperature in stroke patients is higher in most of the cases.in major stroke temperature rises after stroke onset. severe infarcts and intracerebral hemorrhages caused temperature to rise.
neurologic status in stroke patients: includes there is neurological deficits including hemiplegia, numbness loss of sensory sensations, balance problems, visual field deficits aphasia etc.
