Functions of the Musculoskeletal System Essay Example
From the moment we are born until we reach old age, our bones are delicate.
Determine how many there are and list at least five of the functions of the musculoskeletal system.

It is an organ system consisting of skeletal, smooth, and cardiac muscles. In simple words, it contains all type of muscles in the body. Besides muscles, this system contains tendons which attach the muscles to the bones.
This system is mainly consist of bones. Bones articulate with each other to form joints. Bone and and joint are supported for its integrity and functions by the accessory structures of the skeletal system; cartilage ,ligaments and bursae.
As mentioned before bones are the fundamental components of the skeletal system. The humans skeleton is the internal frame work of the human body. It is composed of around 270 bones at birth and decreases to around 206 bones by adulthood because some bones get fused together in that period.
